As a result of Annie’s extensive political contacts, McKellar Consulting also offers advice and counsel at the Federal, state, and municipal levels of government. Annie has also perfected the McKellar Consulting service of “Strategery”. Strategery is the advanced coordination of strategic positioning, strategic planning, and strategic thinking; a combination of activities designed to meet specific goals. Currently, McKellar Consulting provides strategic fundraising counsel to UMKC and recently helped to re-position the Kansas City Ballet toward completing its $38 million Capital Campaign (including a $7 million Endowment) to repurpose the Union Station Power House building into the “Todd Bolender Center for Dance and Creativity.” Since 1993, McKellar Consulting has been privileged to lead campaigns including George Brett’s Baseball Hall of Fame induction activities raising $1 million in special events for ALS, the successful Science City at Union Station capital campaign which generated $263 million, as well as, fundraising for Swope Parkway Health Center with such notables as Lady Margaret Thatcher, Colin Powell, and Tim Russert, the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum with the legendary John “Buck” O’Neil, and recently with noted author John Grisham for the Midwestern Innocence Project.
